Soft Launching my Next Big Project – Stopping – Terence Eden’s Blog
(This is something that I wrote on shkspr.mobi.)
Congrats! I’ve been doing less and less freelance work for a few years and now have only one client with a small amount of work. I’m 95% retired at this point. But I still say I’m “a freelance web developer” or, if I’m feeling brave, “semi-retired”. Even that tends to get amazed looks (I’m “only” 53).
It’s always seemed odd how much work defines people, “What do you do?” being the default question. But while we’re working it’s easy to go along with that. We only have to cope with the absurdity of it once we’re not working.
I don’t really know what I “do” now, yet.
