Invalidating items from Django’s cache
I poked around at Django’s per-site and per-view caching to work out why I couldn’t invalidate pages from the cache. I eventually worked out how to do it.
Tweets
@hondanhon (“Full-on 1990s systems-thinking” wasn’t meant as a dig, just to be clear. I like that stuff too!)
@hondanhon When I did my Future Studies course (18 *cough* years ago) we used Stella, which appears to have an online version now iseesystems.com/store/products… Maybe you should go full-on 1990s systems-thinking management and read ‘The Fifth Discipline’ too?
@blogjam I nearly included the date in my tweet, then realised what a terrible spoiler it was. Good luck!
If you’re close to the City today and hear helicopters and gunfire it’s *probably* not a coup / invasion / terrorism, but the open evening at the Honourable Artillery Company hac.org.uk/home/news/arti…
@genmon I hadn’t realised until I wrote gyford.com/phil/writing/2… that there are lots of Business Improvement Districts en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_b… But, unlike those two, they don’t often try to clunkily rebrand the area.
@RichardYoung I almost mentioned the date in my tweet but realised that’d ruin it for everyone else playing along at home.
I only learned yesterday the actual date of the royal wedding. I was wondering how close it’d get before I knew. Would it even, maybe, happen without me noticing? Ah well.
