@infovore I don’t even know if I do this… Joy.
@infovore The period of time between a new macOS release and when StackExchange is fully populated with how to fix all the things the upgrade broke.
@tomcoates @tominsam @infovore @gwire Does turning off WiFi in the macOS menu bar do the same in High Sierra? (I haven’t upgraded yet.) If not, maybe it will, or should?
@jjsanderson That is good. I’m also impressed my install of MT still mostly works, given I haven’t updated in so long. Flaky, but still going.
@jjsanderson It’s like archaeology. I’d briefly forgotten about Trackbacks.

@tominsam @infovore @gwire @tomcoates Most people are weird. I want to turn off something I’m not using in order to save battery. Off means off. That’s my campaign slogan.
@infovore @gwire @tomcoates Keeps WiFi on but stops it looking to connect to networks… or something? Similar with Bluetooth? daringfireball.net/linked/2017/09…
@gwire @tomcoates Likewise. This is the most annoying thing for me about iOS 11. Now I have to keep going into prefs to switch WiFi off.
