If you, or someone you know, runs a British company, we’re still looking for more people to sign this: medium.com/@philgyford/st…
“Slack’s not distracting enough, so we should post this animated gif so it’s distracting even when nothing more happens!”
@paul_regan Nice! I want to see you out on the hills in some tweeds!
@philpee2 No. I’m saying that letter makes it sound like they care about no other policies. You may disagree.
@philpee2 I’m not forbidding you from saying anything.
@philpee2 I’d say it does *imply* it if you mention nothing else.
So please pass that on to anyone who would be interested, or would know people who would be interested. Thanks.
We would like to get British business owners to sign this: medium.com/@philgyford/st… There’s more to voting than just support for startups.
@ammonite @marcroberts But if it’s countering the other letter, feels like it should be business owners with business names?
@ammonite @marcroberts I’d be more comfortable having people tweet/email their “signatures”… harder to spoof. Or am I paranoid?
If you run a UK start-up and you’re interested in helping me draft / co-sign a response to this letter, say hi. theguardian.com/politics/2015/…
@felix_cohen @poetica Could be good, yes. @ammonite’s offered to help draft.
@ammonite That’d be great! I don’t have the experience to make it count. But happy to help coordinate.
Do I know anyone who runs a business who’d draft a letter countering theguardian.com/politics/2015/… ? Possible to be pro-startup-support, anti-Tory!
@ntlk np. I’m angrier than I expected.
“how do I boycott tech city”
I mean, “jobs… growth… and innovation” are all smashing but, you know, there’s more to life. There’s more to most people’s lives.
A bunch of “startups” to, if not boycott, at least feel queasy about if you ever use them again: theguardian.com/politics/2015/…

@waxpancake Wow, the Bangles haven't aged well.
There is certainly some strong commanding going on somewhere. #bbcqt
