@migurski @jah @enf I’ve got Eudora Light 1.5.5 from here pure-mac.com/olden.html#eud… and got it running and it has Mishawak!
@migurski @genmon @jah Mishiwaka listserv.heanet.ie/cgi-bin/wa?A2=… No idea how you’d find that now…
@migurski @genmon @jah’s original example. And, comparing ‘a’s, this suggests it’s not Monaco: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm…
@kevinmarks @jah @genmon That’d have been my guess, as @jah said, the 'a's are different. Unless there were different Monacos?
@frankieroberto I wasn't proposing to do it myself - just assumed there'd be a simple existing module I could have do it.
@frankieroberto Yes, but it seems crazy to me... Grab all the wikitext, send it back to api, get the html back. Isn't that laborious?
@whoisdanw Stupidly, I thought it'd be more robust than the rendered HTML ha ha.
@antimega Yeah, weird. So much data and yet…
@antimega “utterly bold” indeed. If anyone at the BBC thinks this is as bold as TV can get then I despair. Sorry, utterly despair.
A bit more here for anyone still awake. stackoverflow.com/questions/2878…
“Best” being a balance of feasible and not a pain in the arse. Which surprised me. I thought wikicode would be designed for easy HTMLing.
Re an earlier tweet: Seems that the best way to make HTML from wikipedia content is to scrape the page, not deal with wikicode -> HTML.
@tomcoates I was confused because Tweetbot showed me different replies each time I clicked. Now I see. Think I'm busy tonight after all soz.
@tomcoates Am I not trying hard enough? Don't play hard to get!
@tomcoates I can't wait to see the replies to this they'll b p cool because you're soooooo sexy RU busy tonite lol?
