Archeological Desk Based Assessment of 141-47 Whitecross Street (PDF)
Interesting to see the what they need to assess before redeveloping even quite a small site like this, with information going back to Palaeolithic times.

@suegyford I was thinking the sky here was "quite nice" but you win by miles :)
@gwire God, yes, I think I reached peak eye-rolling when I read that.
I mean, according to some stranger on a cached page of a forum. But that seems good enough these days.
That “Evening Standard rumbled on muslim forum” tweet… Looks like it was actually the Daily Mail: webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache…
@CleanAirLondon Yes but my point is the pollution in the “tunnel” will be much worse than where the monitoring unit is currently positioned.
@CleanAirLondon @Jonathan__Leake @benhammersley I wonder if Beech Street would beat it if its environmental monitors were inside the tunnel.
@joe_malia @tomstuart I think you bent the pun.
@tomstuart @joe_malia Glad it’s not just me. *Joins in the over-eager laughter to cover up confusion*
@joe_malia You’re a customer asking me for tea… I’m not sure I’ve chosen the best medium for hard-hitting satirical drama.
@joe_malia “A tea? Certainly, sir. Is that a white tea? … Say it. SAY IT! Say ‘white tea’! … NO TEA FOR YOU! NEXT!”
@joe_malia It’s just white tea to me. Maybe I should become a Pret Team Member. Or should that be TEA Member!!!!!!!!
@tomafro There are some new buildings part-way up… Pret could open another there for all the people who can’t decide which stall to go to.
@tomafro At last!
There’s going to be a new Pret a Manger on Whitecross St. It *is* a dead zone: there are only seven other branches within 10 minutes walk.
