The Online Photographer: The Culture of Photography
Both for the topic – about how the different kinds of photography are changing – but also as an example of a blog with routinely great (moderated) comments. It’s also wonderful that Mike Johnston pulls out the best comments at the end of each post.

@0898CHEATHCO Good idea. Weird the things that one takes for granted but are actually quite country specific.
@tominsam I’m not sure that will travel well unfortunately. Anything else?
@LaurieJ Thanks… can't remember the last time I drank any in the UK though :)
@irvinebrown No one in the world has enough Double Deckers.
@tobybarnes But I've no idea if it is like the US… but that list is better than what I have so far (nothing), so thanks.
@StephenKinder No! I need to take gifts...
What foods might an English expat in Germany miss? Pork pie, British sausages?
@phl I had no idea. I assume there are better alternatives these days.

@blech Well Range Rover vs Land Rover. And depends on where it's being used.

@paulpod Also, every time I see one of your photos I want to live in the country.

Every time I see a Land Rover I want to go and live in the country with one. I've never driven a Land Rover or lived in the country.

@beng @tomstuart Not all artists!
@0898CHEATHCO HACK THE ART.
Tracey Emin sprang to fame in 1997 with ‘Everyone I Have Ever Slept With 1963–1995’, which she created at a hackathon in a Millets store.
Henry Moore became an overnight sensation (literally!) after winning an all-night hackathon at a stone quarry in 1921.
Pablo Picasso was discovered after winning an 1893 hackathon sponsored by a Barcelona manufacturer of oil paint.
Do people run events like this for *actual* artists to produce free work, or are digital folk the only ones desperate/stupid enough?
Might as well say "Take any form of matter and transform it into a creative physical artwork." hackerleague.org/hackathons/hac…
@plsj Well, many happy hours of catching up ahead!
@plsj What?! How have you missed?!

Weird when people fave tweets from the past, particularly when they fave the other side of an argument you were having.
