East Anglian Film Archive: Basildon - Our Town, 1974
Short documentary about the Essex Town. Lots of council-provided facilities. Things that now look a bit small, grey and grim. A lot of standardised typefaces. Great stuff. (via @mala)

@blech Yeah, that too.
@blech *rolls eyes* But actually I’m surprised that it looks like there’s <1% difference in open rates. I wonder what % of people use tabs?
@iamdanw I can’t wait until the 2014 Samsung Anniversary Games, on the anniversary of the fondly-remembered Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games.
@suegyford Maybe a new tree is needed!
@tomstuart @nickludlam Saying “Well I’ll get insurance if I actually do work for you, because no one else demands it” wasn’t adequate.

@blogjam I have never been to an IKEA. I’m saving it for a special occasion. I hope it lives up to expectations, which you have heightened!
Belatedly got round to re-joining the Open Rights Group. Took five minutes. openrightsgroup.org/join/ Seems like a good time.
@mala That’s so good. It’s all so municipal, for good and bad. Arts Centre at 2:22. Also I can’t help watching through the lens of Scarfolk.
@holgate I can believe that, but also want to see the study. Sounds a bit like one of those simple quotes that should have many caveats.
